Luke 4:31-37 – Authority and Amazement
1. His message – “I Am He” – has authority (vv. 31-32)
-Psalm 82
-Isaiah 24:21-23
-Zephaniah 2:11
2. His authority is not only in word, but in power (vv. 33-36)
A. His immediate authority over unclean spirits.
B. Anticipates His rule over all the dark powers. (Philippians 2:8-11)
C. Which will result in His rule over all creation. (Isaiah 45:21-25)
3. His power = our amazement (vv. 36-37) **yes, verse 36 again.
