Charlie Kirk, The Rapture, and 2025 Until the Day of the Lord

Oh, what days we live in—politically, economically, militarily, and, of course, spiritually. On July 13, 2024, the world witnessed the then-running candidate for president’s life spared by millimeters from a bullet. Now just two weeks ago, our nation and the globe was horrified by the open and public assassination of Charlie Kirk. The evil of the murder stands alone. Yet, the man Charlie Kirk as one of the most famous young figures in American public life made him feel like an acquaintance, a friend, to many Americans, particularly the young ones. Furthermore, Kirk’s fame and familiarity, combined with the indescribably awful and graphic images of his death, simply, traumatized us.
These are earthly events; political events; human events. Yet, as we Spirit-people know, we would be wildly naïve to believe that God and His spiritual enemies in the heavenly places have no input, no pull, no agenda. In fact, I would submit, the world’s events are only the physical chess board. The players are God, His Messiah, and His Mighty Spirit versus His powerful spiritual enemies. Let us engage with the sword of the Spirit and integrate what we know about the spiritual war with what we are witnessing in the earth.
First, it is altogether fitting that we grieve the terrible murder of an image bearer and brother in Christ, Charlie Kirk. Furthermore, we gain inspiration from his life, which was given to truth and adorned in boldness. He proclaimed Christ, from the Scriptures, clearly. We mourn and grieve; we lift in prayer his widow, children, family, and friends. We also celebrate that Jesus’s Name was lifted and proclaimed during his memorial service on Sunday afternoon. Looking beyond the immediate act of evil and the response, we gaze with discernment unto what might be happening in the spiritual, because, again, the primary battle field is the spiritual, and the principalities and powers are doing all they can to keep God from positioning Israel and the nations from moving toward the circumstances of Jesus’s return. To where is God calling the body of Christ? Into the Scriptures, and awake to deception.
Through this tragedy, there are all kinds of hopes. All who are mourning are longing for a revolution. Some are hoping for a MAGA movement, some are hoping for a cultural awakening, and some are calling for a “national divorce” between the Left and the Right. Some are blaming a higher, shadow organization, and some are blaming…Israel. There are those with pure hopes and intentions, and, as always, there are those who are not failing to “waste a crisis” for their own agenda and/or personal benefit. No question, this tragedy has taken cultural and spiritual angst and turned it into upheaval. In the midst of this, the body of Christ must be wise as serpents, and innocent as doves.
What is God doing? Brothers and sisters, there is a higher game going on than we can understand, and certainly more than immediately meets the eye. I am convinced that God is ready to move—move the church, Israel, and the nations to prime and ready position, in anticipation of all that Moses, the psalmists, and the prophets saw insofar as the spiritual and geopolitical circumstances immediately prior Daniel’s 70th week (the final 7 years before the Kingdom of God is established, or, let us say, the Return of Jesus).
What are the principalities and powers doing? Trying to hold sway. You see, they don’t want anything to happen (they are enjoying their current position as heads over the nations). They don’t want revolutions. They don’t want cultural upheaval. They don’t want the Jewish people and Jewish nation in any sort of spotlight. They know, the more there is strife in the world, the more God moves in striking, redemptive ways of power as He “moves the ball forward” in anticipation of the coronation of His Son. Yet, in their holding sway, they are also causing their own brand of chaos. Yet, the chaos they are trying to sow in the nations is a chaos that attempts to block the prophetic circumstances of Jesus’s arrival. All in all, saints, do not see the chaotic evil in the world as God’s lack of ability to confine evil and spread good; see, instead, (as the Scriptures clearly depict) God’s use of chaos and evil to smoke and even draw evil out, squarely into His crosshairs.
Part of the current attempted deception of the powers is to, once again, stir up some Christian interpreters to predict another date of the rapture, this week, September 23-24. Saints, to the best of my ability as a Spirit-filled understander and interpreter of the Scripture, I do not believe the rapture will happen this week. My study of the Scripture, in community, leads me to fully believe that our ascending to Jesus will not happen prior to the Beast’s revelation, the Abomination of Desolation, and a certain time in the tribulation. I believe we are “caught up to Him” when He is revealed in heaven. It is at that time (the 6th Seal in Revelation), that the dead are raised, all Israel is saved, and we, who are alive, will be caught up together with Him. We are not waiting on a mysterious rapture. We are waiting on what the prophets and Jesus told us to wait on: the Abomination of Desolation; let the reader of Daniel 7–12 understand!
 This is the time of revelation from God in Christ’s body, the true remnant! See God’s plan—while the powers may want to use Kirk’s death and a failed rapture prediction to cause inordinate chaos, discouragement, and despair, God will use it to chasten His remnant. He’s calling us to the prophetic Word—to see and understand the truth of the Scripture, that the 70th week is coming (Dan. 9:24–27), with all its prophetic issues and implications. These issues include a deal that will put Israel at incredible and historic peace (see Dan. 9:27 and Ezekiel 38). Israel will be so confident they’ve made it, that they will remove the profound presence of defensive weaponry. I may conjecture that this peace is so “profound” that the Muslim world will agree (through the persuasive powers of a singular man) to share the Holy Mountain with the Jews—the Mosque and Shrine with the Temple of God. “See,” the Middle East might say, “let us show the East and the West how peace gets done.” Then, the world will watch in amazement when Ishmael and Isaac shake hands and share the holiest place on the planet (a possible scenario).
Then, 3.5 years later, the same middle-eastern man from the north of Israel (see Daniel 8, the “little horn”) who made the peace deal will invade Jerusalem, enter the newly rebuilt Temple, go into the Holy of Holies, and say something of the like, “The God of Israel is no God; I am God” (Dan. 11:36 and 2 Thess. 2:4). This is the event prophesied from ancient, and the ONE event the prophets, Jesus, and Paul tell us is the key marker of the final 3.5 years. Jesus tells us this: when you see the Abomination of Desolation, know with absolute certainty that He will be back on the Mountain, ruling in glory in only 3.5 more years. What revelation! What freedom! What power will reside in the body of Christ in that hour!
Then, we will testify, amidst trouble and chaos and many unto death (especially around the epicenter in the Middle East). Yet, we will testify in consummate power, joy, and glory. Can you imagine? The power of testimony resides in you, knowing that your Lord will momentarily appear in heaven, and, meanwhile, Satan has been cast down from his place of authority in heaven, resulting in a power and fearlessness in you and in the body that the world has never seen? This is not dread. This is longing.
Join me in the prophetic Word, because He is coming. And, let me be clear, I believe we are in the “last days.” I believe there is a generation on earth that will see the Bridegroom appear in heaven. It may be my children’s generation. It may be my generation. It may be my parents' generation. It may be, still, my grandparents’ generation! I believe He’s at the door.
This is 2025, the year that the ancient Jewish Essenes understood to be the first year of the Final Jubilee. Remember, a Jubilee is 50 years. According to the most reliable Jewish calendar, God will finish His workweek of redemption within the Final Jubilee, before the 7th day of Sabbath begins (Messiah and Kingdom). They understood, as do I, that God set up our workweek like His cosmic workweek. For the Lord, “one day is like 1000 years, and 1000 years is like one day.” We have 6 days, then rest on the 7th. So will God, in the greater. How did the ancient Essene calendar line up to today? 2025 is the beginning of the final 50 years of the 6th day. In other words, redemptive history is currently at 5,950 (sixth day almost complete). The Essenes did not give specific dates of Messiah’s coming, but understood the Kingdom to be firmly established and in glorious operation by the end of the Final Jubilee (2075). Understood by them, too, is that the Final Jubilee will bring about an incredible uptick in spiritual activity, of both light and dark. This makes sense, for any time God moves, the enemy tries to match His energy and counter His movement. To be clear, I hold to the Essene calendar and Jubilee cycle toward final redemption. I believe 2025 is the beginning of the final Jubilee, which gives us divine insight into the things we’ve seen, and will continue to see. I believe that by 2075 Jesus will be ruling from Zion, and the Kingdom of God will be firmly and gloriously established.
In these times of incredible Spirit-movement alongside dark efforts, let us engage. Let us go forth. Let us walk with excitement. Let us give ourselves to the prophetic Word of God. Of most importance in these days—the work up to Jesus’s return—is, on the positive side, our godliness and might in the Scriptures. Our godliness and might in the Scriptures will serve as our hope and comfort in, on the negative side in this hour, the days of deception. Let us give ourselves to the Lord, to one another, and to His Word, and let us heed the command of the Word like never before: “Let no man deceive you by any means.”
