Delighting in the trinity

duane geib, room 212C ~ for all adults

The Trinity…what a boring topic. Far from it! In Michael Reeves’ book, “Delighting in the Trinity,” he takes what we would consider a deep and boring theological truth and causes us to wonder anew at the joy, delight, and love the Trinity finds within itself, and how that joy, delight, and love transfers to we humans, and how that joy, delight, and love changes us to have joy, delight, and love for the fullness of God in the Trinity. This book study will rock your world. When we first did this study several years ago, people were at first curious. The curiosity turned into overwhelming love for God, with people in tears in our class, as the wonder of the Trinity changed us to love Him with a joy and a delight.

Exploring aslan's country:

A study of narnia

AARON EARLS, ROOM 212E ~ FOR ALL ADULTS

In this final session of Exploring Aslan’s Country, this course will encourage readers to examine and enjoy the Christ-saturated world of C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia”, viewing the books as powerful stories designed to shape the hearts and minds of readers. The goal will be to heed the words of Aslan: “This was the very reason you were brought into Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you might know me better there.”

We will look at the interpretation of Scripture and how doctrine has been formed by the church’s past. This will help us in the present and future as we work to know the Truth of God’s Word as essential to

our days.
